the “work”

if you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. if you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” - gnostic gospel of Thomas

re-member (v.) : to bring divided parts back together, to bring back the memory of

re-wild (v.): to return to a natural, untamed, uncontrolled state

embodiment (n) : the landscape of what we are so practiced in it becomes unconscious; the practice of becoming aware of what we have embodied to ensure it aligns with what we value or believe; developing a relationship with the rhythms & impulses of our own bodies; the practice of authenticity

self expression is not a privilege, it is unique and vital to our humanity. the nature of life is weather; we will be challenged. revealing the truth of who we are and what has happened to us is how the sun and the storms transform rather than destroy us. our own story, our own love, and the love of others, is how we heal, over and over again.

both conscious movement and stillness give us the opportunity to be embodied, to drop into ourselves and be exactly who we are, where we are. in presence, we connect with our bodies and allow what they seek naturally—to be in deep relationship with our heart, mind, and spirit. my approach to coaching, teaching, and to life is somatic, which means we always situate the body and our feeling sensitivities as central to our healing, change, and transformation. the connection of our physical, mental, and tremendous intuitive abilities is the integration that allows us to experience our whole be-ing. this wholeness is our power. it is our life force.

alone and with each other, my clients and i utilize tools to continuously practice this integration. through breath, posture, interoception, and ceremony and ritual, we get into our bodies and back to our nature. we allow ourselves to be heart-minded– we trust ourselves and allow our core wisdom to guide us through everything. this manner of be-ing changes our experience of life. we connect to our desire and our pleasure. we develop a rich and radical self love that we come to know as our infinite sustenance. when life is perfect or when shit hits the fan, we go inside and draw from this generative resource while also relying upon the community that begins to spring up around us. this embodied, authentic, whole-hearted manner of living is the true liberation our spirits seek. a freedom that external sources and capitalism cannot provide.

we do not just cultivate radical self love, we uncover and re-member it. we bring back the inheritance we have lost through generations of taught distrust and disembodiment. this is key to knowing, through experience, that everything we need is inside of us. i do not coach to convince or instill belief. i coach to help you allow for your own new experience. you need not believe, you will come to know what is true for you.

my purpose in this moment is to utilize my training, self-learning, and (most valuably) my re-membered wisdom and lived experience to help cultivate connection, curiosity, compassion, daring, loving, and audacity in the heart-led freethinkers that will help us imagine a better world and bring it into existence. we must be the change we want to see.

it is a courageous, humble thing to reach out for help and dare to look inside ourselves. with love and respect for your bravery and humility, i will always meet it and you with my own integrity, vulnerability, and love. strong back. soft front. wild heart.

i thank you. i honour you. and i love you. x chb
